Don't think many viewers realize the man hours it would take to clear this much vegetation from this property. A simple York rake will clean up much of the wood chips & since most of the grinding was surface cutting, much of this will grow back. Nature always wins but it certainly cleaned up the lot quickly !

1/6th of an acre (square acres = 208'4" x 208'4") would be ~68x68'... not as small as he makes it sound. That equipment is a 'track loader/mulcher/forestry mgmt' VORACIOUS work monster.... 8-). <cf: online article - "5 Tips to Optimize RT-120 Forestry Attachment Performance"> WOW.... watching it chew up a tree that has to be 6" minimum is amazing. I hope the miscellaneous debris didn't damage that equipment... GREAT JOB! I actually have a personal project hidden in a 3ring binder - my own dream home, which has been redesigned over the last 30 yrs, is now a one-level ranch with 2 attached solaria, greenhouse, detached carport w/double shed (one half storage & power control room for solar panel setup on both house & carport) and the other half a garden workroom. The plans are laid out on 'quad' paper (which is actually 5/in not 4/in, much better for house layout). Nice to know how to clear a lot for my dream home (if the lottery fairies ever deign to notice me... ). <SAVED TO FILE, BTW.... LOL>

Thank you for sharing this video! I've been scouring RUclips for something just like it. With over 200 stumps still above ground, I've been uncertain whether a skid steer mulcher could handle those elevated tree remnants.

Had major contracts on acreages bought by the government to build future freeways and we had to clear and maintain, what I would have paid to have one of these beasts.Thank you for a great video Melbourne, Australia

5:55 You’re just making a mess. This is actually a very lazy was to do more damage to the rest of the yard just to use a toy. All you needed was some power trimmers or a small chainsaw and you could have bundled it up and carted it off instead of spreading around d the yard.

You know Gavin I was thinking that you have a wielder and a angle grinder and with those two tools you could widen your thumb on the mini your self with some steel plate and some thick walled pipe just make some patterns out of cardboard and then transfer to the steel plate and cut the pipe to match the existing one easy peezy I have faith in you my friend. PS:if know someone who has a plasma cutter just give them your cardboard patterns 😊😊😊just copy and wield 😊😊

I love how you start at the top of some trees and then grind them down it seems to work better that way I've noticed. I love the land mulching projects it's just so awesome to see the machine in action. Definitely gonna need to sharpen those teeth after that big job.
